For your consideration I’m offering an extremely rare 1964 Western Cutlery Bowie knife. 1964 was the only year that Western produced a “Bowie Knife”. After 1964 Western introduced the model W49 Bowie style knife and continued to make for many years and then Western began adding a letter to W49 to establish the year made.
Please take note of the tang stamps. You’ll see Western, Boulder Colo. U.S.A. And on the reverse side you’ll notice Bowie is inverted, the only year Western inverted a tang stamp.
Overall condition is excellent for being 60 years old with very little wear.
You’ll be hard pressed to find another 1964 Western Bowie Knife.
