You guys have already posted what I was thinking. There are a lot of folks that aren't "gun people" in the military and LE, and it would be completely on-brand to prank someone like that. I would hate to have that be a prank (and it could be he was in on the joke and posted the photo...
I think the casualty numbers are more a result of lockdown practices and swift response by the on-campus staff than anything being targeted. He probably shot who he could find. Reduced access to the victim population and swift response by personnel already present is key in the first minutes...
Maybe it’s just the photos the media chooses to use, but I swear all these guys have a look about them that is just “off.” Maybe I’m reading too much into it because I know what they did, but that guy, just like Adam Lanza, looks like an alien.
I sort of agree. Neither party can be fully trusted to preserve gun rights these days, for sure, but those that I think CAN be trusted all play for Team Red.
What I really appreciated about him was he would address things that other channels wouldn't to anticipate confusion and head it off. I also really appreciated the "meat target" tests. It really seemed to be the extra step that's missing from ballistic gel testing.
I think dedicated dry fire for about a week or two should fix the presentation. I would have to look what type of dot it is. It's a Holosun, and I think it's a 507, but I'm not 100% sure without looking.
Oh I get it, but there's still too many questions. Is little Johnny's fidgeting because of the natural tendency of boys to be active or because of something else? Did the "something else" cause the shooting because the meds didn't work or did the meds cause it in an otherwise normal kid?

Yeah, I know his family is going to try and keep the channel alive, but I just can't see that working out. The channel was half the content and half Paul's personality/delivery style. I would be legit shocked if it was as interesting with anyone else at the helm.
I went to the range and started putting in the milage on my new red-dot pistol. I'm a complete red-dot noob and I felt like an idiot. After shooting irons very successfully for the last 35 years or so it's a bit of an adjustment.
The biggest adjustment is really just changing my presentation...
I went and checked 100 rounds of Winchester Ranger 180 grain .40's as well as the 30 or so 155 Federals I had handy in magazines. They all passed the drop in gauge check, at least!
Also, Paul Harrell passed away yesterday, which sucks.
M118LR bowed out of the forum quite a while back, which is a shame because while frustrating at times he was the source of some entertaining conversation!
But yes, it would be enlightening for the public to be able to see what their psych records were. I'm torn on the medications because that...
Probably at the behest of the gun manufacturers who kept having the weak points in their guns demonstrated by original 10mm. That BP .40 was snappy enough we had to have our guns replaced every 5,000 rounds. Now by "replaced" I mean with one that had gone back to wherever the main arsenal was...
My preferred .40 load is the 155 grain Border Patrol contract Federal. I get 1150 fps out of my Glock 22, which for comparison I get 1160 out of a 3" .357 using 158 grain JFP's. I've never put it in my Glock 35, but I bet it would push it up around 1200-1250.
I watched a video very recently...
