Looking at reloading some of both of these.
25-06 - got 117 grain Hornady Interlock Soft Points
270 - got some 130 grain Remington Core-Lokt Soft Points
Looking at Hogdon I was trying to find a common powder that is available locally (FWB area). Came up with IMR 4831.
Anyone...
Totally agree, its a sales gimmick. years ago when everyone had 30-06 they JUST HAD TO have a 270 and then as soon as it was king THEY JUST HAD TO HAVE ...... and so it has continued, same thing with the smaller calibers. I've fell into the same trap, but a while back i decided to just be...
Why should I pay for your kids to go to college. The country needs trades people more than ever and you want more liberal arts degrees?
Oh and by the way, the number crunchers did some of the math and the deficit would hit numbers unheard of it we tried to fund college for everyone. Its just...
He wasn't complaining, I bet most of us at some point have had a gun that used expensive ammo. Just figured I would let the people who may be looking for 375 Win locally know the price.
BTW it was $50 per box of 20 (or somewhere close) He thought they told him $40 a box and sent enough cash for 3 boxes (or so he thought) but only ended up with 2.
Had this in my e-mail from a few years ago, figured I would share it...
Our tax system explained in beer
Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100...
If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this...

I have a Thompson made under the Thompson patents by Kahr. Its a fun shooter. Probably 500s round down the tube and not a singe misfire. Bolt is built like a steel brick. Recoil is less than a 22lr due to the weight of the gun. For the weight to round perspective the 30 round stick mags are...
there have been no charges leveled, all it is is words right now (and all it ever will be IMHO) as for him going after these women, its a no win for him. It would be next to impossible to win a case against them for slander and even then he would be seen as "a powerful man" beating up poor...
Got a guy I work with wanting to buy some 375 Winchester. He inherited a gun chambered in it from his Dad and he wants to do a little shooting with it.
I have heard of it but never known anyone personally who had success doing that. I know on the Russian rifles I have shot at 100 yards I was basketball sized groups using (un-adjusted) iron sights with the ramp set to 100m
300m = 300 yards + or - at 25 yards you should have had the ramp set below the 100m mark, at 100 yards set it to 100m, you were likly hitting over the target by several inches at 100 yards with it set to 300m
1 meter = 3.28 feet
1 yard = 3 feet
or was the 300m a typo?
