Posting up my 3.5 inch model 27 dated to 1973, this is the pinnacle of the model 27 and the most sought after, I have two sets of grips with it and a soft case pictured as well, the magnas aren’t numbered to my gun but are earlier than my gun and the set of faux ivory grips as well.

They fit on all my model 29s with round butt frame. Not sure about the older model 1917 as I’ve never owned one. Hope this helps, I don’t recall the model 1917 ever having a round butt so I dont believe they will fit
I have a nice set of vintage ace grips that were owned by smith and Wesson back in the day, they are n frame rb combats. I got them offline and they were advertised as k/l frame but received them and they were n frame. Asking $140 for them. Can ship them for an extra $10.

Ship my gun is the easiest way. You get a set cost for shipping and all you do is print out shipping label and drop it off at your local ups customer center
Most smith and Wessons are drilled and tapped so it’s relatively easy to add an optic mount and optic to a smith. I personally wouldn’t unless my eyes went bad but to each their own
