I'm looking for a nice JM marked 336 Cowboy in 38-55. Getting pretty scarce. I have a nice 1894 CB in .45 LC and an 1895 CB in 45-70 with the old fashioned style scope on it. I also have a nice 444, and an 1895G ported. Both JM and the 1895 like new in the box and unfired I believe.
Weaver, and the slots look large enough for most picatinny too. My FN SLP cantilever barrel has narrow slots and I'm limited in what I can mount on it.

I'm a lot pickier than most on this. Unless the gun is new, it's probably going to get a detail strip and cleaning anyway. It definitely does reflect in the price I'd pay, and if it's so dirty that a lot of important details are impossible to see, then I'll probably just walk away from it.
