      Horns!!!

      My oldest son got this 9 point this morning coming to a grunt call. It was shot on our other little piece of property not our main piece. Still a decent deer, he shoot him around 10am.

      Yeah it's got a little more behind it than the 300 blackout. I would still limit your shots to probably under 130-140 yards just to be safe.

      That 350 legend with the wright bullet can make a marginal shot into a lethal one. For a light recoil cartridge so far I've been happy with its performance, my son has adopted it as his gun. Excellent for kids, recoil sensitive or shorter range shots.

      Got this 10 point this afternoon, couldn't get him to stop running/casing around the food plot to judge him really good. Took him on his last step on the way out of the food plot. 7mm Remington mag ran about 30 yards.

      Definitely one of the down sides of being in a club. Find a couple hundred acres for yourself to lease. Keep it to family and there you go. Or as the above said Keep what you shoot to yourself. I was in a club years ago close to our land we lease. Just to much nonsense.

      Gonna try the Winchester PDX 120gr X39 on deer.

      That bullet should work good, I'd stay away from the sst or any polymer tip bullet if your wanting good energy release and pass through. The only polymer tip bullet I've had both and good luck with is the bonded bullets or the Barnes bullets. All the others seem to just blow apart inside. That's...

      We hunt past Luverne we have killed a few over the years in that area. There's alot of agriculture fields around our little piece of property and we feed year round. We don't shoot anything unless it's outside it's ears except for our kids first deer. But they so far have been to what we shoot...

      This deer was in the same are 210-220 lbs. With complete pass through, his other deer was 240-250 lbs. If not a little more with a complete pass through. Both were deer we have been watching for a few years. The Hornady American whitetail are also very accurate in the ruger 1/2 inch group all day.

      Well first shot heart and the deer just stood there. Second shot shoulder and he dropped. Well like any other 12 year old he runs down there, deer got up as he was about to grab him and ran 20 yards to fall over dead.

      Yeah that's no good, I know the one my son shot with his 350 was a mess inside. Using the Hornaday American whitetail. Deer ran about 50 yards and there was blood from point of impact.
