I know I probably missed the window on when most clubs are looking for members but hoping I'll get lucky with a good club.
I'm happy to help with any work that needs to be done around the camp and love to hunt hogs & predators.
I live in north Pensacola so would prefer to stay in Florida but...
Thanks for your input. I was also weighing the recurve vs compound decision.
I was leaning towards the compound because of the lower draw weights (for the fps) and the compactness (since I will mostly be hunting out of smaller blinds).
I'm fairly strong for a smaller guy but I don't know what...
I didn't realize that Bass Pro let's you try out their crossbows. If I can try out a few at different price points, I think it will go a long way in me figuring out if it's worth it.
This is a different price point but caught my eye since it's currently $399 after $160 off:

Are you talking about this?

I saw this when looking around but seems like you're getting a lot for $220 so thought it might be crappy.
Also wondering if it's worth it to buy some of these "packages".
Seems like you're getting a lot for the extra money when I price items individually but hard for me to judge without experience if the items that come in these packages are crappy quality that I'll end up having to replace anyway.
I'm looking to buy my first crossbow and was hoping you guys could point me in the right direction.
I'll mostly be hunting out of box blinds for deer, hog, etc.
I don't really have a fixed budget, I'm really looking for the best bang for the buck.
I know in most things, there are price points...
