      That's an easy Article 92 against a DoD directive (and more directly MCO 5370.7B). I don't think it would go for maximum punishment with a courts martial (depending on how his CG sees it and prior issues) however, he is definitely going to get an NJP.

      Rounded eyes and pupils, side facing, not so broad head into neck region, and vertical stripes on the lower jaw tell me it's nonvenomous. As for the checkboard pattern on the back with the single stripe: Garter Snake. Nearly full sized.
