i believe Century imported the kits and then contracted first Two Rivers Armory and then Dan Coonan (DCI) to build them. The Two Rivers builds were actually blued and relatively few in number and the DCI builds were parkerized. So, correct, Century did not build them thankfully.
The 1987 date is when the TRUNNION was made not when the kit was built. Definitely NOT pre-ban. These were made starting in ‘04-‘05. Dan Coonan (DCI) IS Nodak Spud….same entity. I remember when these were being sold new and the only place I ever saw them for sale was through Century (CAI)
Yes, where the stock attaches to the back of the receiver. I assumed it was slant cut because of the way the thumbhole stock is made to conceal that fact but have seen a couple with that stock that surprisingly turned out to be straight cut. The value is adversely impacted by a slant cut...

I was lucky enough to get the reducer and breacher when I got mine as well. Luckily it takes mobil chokes instead of the proprietary chokes earlier ones used.
