I want to buy another .22 pistol just for plinking. I had a Sig Mosquito and no matter what I tried it would only cycle CCI Mini Mag ammo. I'm thinking Walther P22 , Ruger SR22 or maybe M&P. I don't want another finicky gun I want something that shoots everything. How about some reccommendations.

From the list you gave, I have read good things about the Ruger SR22. I just bought one. But I have not got out to shoot it yet due to the lack of ammo. Can't find any!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a brand new, never fired M&P. Still can't deside if I want to keep it, sale or trade it.

Thanks for all the replies. Probably go with M&P or Walther , whichever I find a good deal on first.

I will, just can't make up my mind. I'm more of a hunter than a shooter.

I bought a 22A (like a 22S, but with an an aluminum receiver instead of a steel one). Full size gun, which for defense could be good or bad. If it intimidates someone, that would be good. If it proves unweldy to get into poisition to use, that would be bad. Haven't fired it yet, but persistence online has gotten me two boxes of ammo, though at a higher price than was customarily paid for 22 LR. You place a 22 LR beside almost any other caliber, its like a house cat standing beside a person. Not impressive at all. So how come you pay 1/3rd to 1/2th the cost of the bigger rounds for it? Demand. Every big gun toter wants something cheaper to shoot when he hits the range, so they all group of 22 and get pistols accordingly.

Love my mark 2. I always have said if you can't hit with a mark2 you will never be able to hit with a pistol. Besides it reminds me of a Lugar

Love the bull barreled mark II The mark III has too many lawyer parts for disassembly.
