Anybody know of any local Militaria collectors around here who might be interested in some New Old Stock Nam era UH-1 Iroquois (Huey) equipment ?

I have one complete missile launcher control panel still in the box, and a few complete radio amp and radio pre-amp panels, and I think I might still have a few radar component panels, all new.

And yes, I checked, all totally legal and unregulated as there are no missiles included and the technology is outdated.

All were manufactured by the Hughes aircraft Co. and It's all tube run equipment.

For a few younger members : tubes are pre transistor and transistors are pre chip. :boink:

There's a place on Scenic Hwy where it turns into Cervantes St that might be interested - can't think of the name...dumpy looking place.

Also, the Foot Locker on Navy Blvd is a military surplus place run by an ex- Naval Aviator - he would probably be interested.

Finally, try Wings on Barancas Ave. They sell aviation & pilot supplies to the new trainees in the pipeline. They may like some nostalgia for the place.

The tubes alone may be worth some money if they are tubes that can be used in audio or guitar amps.

Robert's gunrack on Old Shell road here in Mobile. Rob might be interested. I believe he's out of town at a wedding for another week though.

I had to do some digging for pics I took years ago as they are all currently buried in one of my storage buildings. These were the only two pics I could find.

The panel I took a pic of when I opened the still sealed box, and I took pics of the tags on all of them but I have no idea without digging them out which unit this tag pic belongs to.

As for stripping for tubes, these would be worth more complete and I wouldn’t need to strip them to get tubes. About 20 years ago I bought several long closed stereo repair shops and I have a building full of tube radios, tube power amps, tube tuners, tube pre-amps, ect ... and probably well over 10K NOS NIB tubes.

Mostly RCA but also lots of Mullard, Telefunken, and Valvo.

I was just thinking about doing some “spring cleaning” on that one building which is why I asked if there were any collectors around.

    Thanks All !

Sadly it was lost in the same boating accident that cost so many members their firearms :whoo:
