A few days ago he was using a harness working on a house but wasn’t in a homemade wood tree stand. Wood rots.

Yep, I’ve seen em both in Brantley at the convenience store. She’s strong like her Daddy. Maybe he’ll recover from this without lifelong complications

Glad to hear he's home and on the mend! Bad knees have always kept me from using Lock-Ons, personally didn't like them being a big guy 6'4" tall! Used a climber when I was younger but always used a safety harness. Now a days I don't use anything but tree stands, tripods and box stands. Currently we have 2 box stands in MS that our off limits due to wood rot that we plan to fix this Spring and Summer!
