So, while trying to find a LH piston BCG for a Stag upper, I found out the difference between Adams Arms (top) and Stag's(bottom) piston bolt carrier groups. The striking plate ( where the gas key would be ) measures .173-5 inches closer on the Adams Arms. It was hard to get an equal reference point for the measurement. I was warned by everyone I spoke with; DO NOT try and cut down the piston rod on the Stag upper to fit the Adams Arms BCG. Here are some pictures of a Adams Arms LH BCG and a Stag Arms right handed BCG - both are piston driven. I plan on converting to an Adam Arms gas piston block and rod.
