Take it from an old Bullseye shooter , those long-slides are hard to shoot well . Extended sight radius was the original thought behind these . Unless one is an extremely " hard holder " & has young eyes that can focus on a front sight they don't help ones scores . With optics / red dot sight radius becomes moot . With more reciprocating weight , softer springs required recoil impulse is prolonged & follow-thru much more vital . So unless your fundamentals / technique are rock solid , stick with a Gov't size 5" .
AMT guns are IMHO best avoided . For every one that worked , more than a few were problematic . Don't believe it , then ask how many nationally known 'smiths will build a custom gun based on one ?
If one is serious most probably a custom built would be best . The Baer guns are generally fit too tight & barrel fit ( even with the 1.5" guarantee ) leave something to be desired .

EAA Girsan (Turkish made) makes a 10mm longslide, so I’m led to beleive they may also in .45 acp

this thing looks like a beast. 10MM though... and rather expensive.

I think Dan Wesson and Kimber also make longslides. The DW alongside is the Bruin and the Kimber long slide is the LS Target.
