Wait till the temperature gets below 30 degrees, put a plastic garbage bag around it gently tie it up and cut the limb. Once on the ground open it enough to spray some wasp killer in it and boom you have it. When I was a teenager me and my buddy shot one down, we put it in the cab of the truck and brought it to my sisters store. We shook it several time to make sure that there wasn’t any hornets in it, none came out or moved we thought it was empty. We nailed it to the wall in the store and admired it. About two hours later the hornets warmed up and started coming out of the nest. We had to kill some hornets real fast.

If ya wanna trap and kill them and not hurt the nest I saw a very neat trick to catch and kill the rascals fast. I never knew they ate meat

Oh yeah they eat dead stuff. They also love beer. Mind your cans.

Wasp or Hornet?

I'm thinking Hornet.

Skip the Wasp spray. Use one or two cans of the "Computer Duster" and seal it up tight. It displaces oxygen, the critters die. Depending how many are it there, it could stink after they die.

Sweet, but people buy them things, mancave stuff.
If you find another, shoot the limb off and put the nest in a large plastic trash bag and tie it closed,
just in case there's any hornets/wasps that wake up, they'll die b4 too long.

Hornets are good to have around your place they actually catch Horse flies and the such.

That's a fact for people who needs them.
I have to have them, but I still F'k with them.
13 of them ground hornets got me once.
Knowing 1 can do me in, I popped 2 epi's in upper thigh,
took 2 Benadryl tabs and headed to the ER.

I once hopped up a tree in my Summit before daylight.
After the sun came up I found myself looking at a huge nest hanging from a limb on a tree next to the one I was in, probably 15 or 20 feet away.
I was really glad I didn’t hafta shoot my rifle that day.

Oh hell no. I'd been down that tree so fast the climber would've still been hanging up there with the bees, lol.
