Are there any markings on the top of the receiver cover & does it have Russian letters on both ends of the serial number?

That's a "Letter Series" Russian SKS,,,, Very Collectible,,, I've got one myself
They were put together from parts after tooling was shipped to China
I got offered $600 for mine a couple of years ago

The xxxx means refurb. What is the date on the stock? And can you take a pic of the ser number side?

Block complete number if you want but of markings? Sling stamped?

You know MAK 90s are about $1000 now?

From the research I have done the majority of all the Russian SKS rifles available for purchase in the US were refurbished by the Russian arsenal at some point. The date is 1956. That is the serial number side. I would prefer not to post the serial numbers of my firearms on a public forum. If there is a specific question you have about the serial number I can try and answer it.
    Thanks for your interest.

yes the xxxxx means it has a refurb stock,,, it simply means the gun was taken all the way down & inspected before storage, the Russian armorors didn't match the stocks back to the guns because the stocks were varnished by another group while they were going through the action & barrell, there should be a small faint diamond shaped refurb stamp on the receiver cover,,,,
    Beautiful Gun !
