    NEW BRITAIN, CT (WFSB) -
A gun maker in New Britain unveiled a new prototype of the rifle used in the Newtown shooting.

This News Station must be gun haters! I love how they make it a point to let everybody know this prototype (which is nothing but a dedicated .22 upper) is just like the (alleged) gun used in Newtown, instead of just saying "a new prototype of the AR-15 rifle".

Stag is a good company, give them time to get things worked out and I believe you will see them moving...it takes a lot of time for most companies to move.

Stag announce a couple of weeks ago that they were trying to come up with a new product so that they would not have to leave. They are not moving.

They are indeed moving south. They are looking at whats available to them. They have alerted employees of a eminent move and have offered to retain them as future employees .

Their legal staff is looking into having their licenses valid in another state.
They are working hard at this time to insure both parts & inventory will be available during a down time when they are moving and retooling a new plant.

I received this information from close associates that are gunsmiths within the company that I remained friends with for many years.

I remain hopeful they will indeed move and continue to provide quality firearms to the public.

What happened up there was a terrible thing, but I'm still in the dark about the shooting and the shooter having an AR15. I've heard reports the AR15 was found in the shooter's car and I heard it was used in the shooting.

    Anyone know the truth?

"The Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection still has to approve the weapon."

    Really?
