This has been a panic buying problem from the start, we have done it to ourselves and ammo prives have creeped up as a result.

Panic buying started it and now guys like me that didn't have a huge stock of the ammo needed for general hunting and shooting are buying up what they can find when it comes in so as to never be caught without it again. I'm going to make sure I have enough ammo for me and my 2 sons long term, so much so I'm looking for another safe just to store ammo in.

Think lifetime supply. Same with magazines. It's the only way to go.

One of the Walmarts in Anchorage must have had 200k rounds of 5.56 XM855 ammo in cases of 1000 for $500 when I stopped in today. You guys seeing that kind of stock returning to the stores in Florida??

Everytime I walk into the FWB store the shelves are still empty of everything but some shotgun and lesser used rounds. Bass Pro is a lot better at getting stock in but they're smart and limit quantities of the popular stuff.

Academy usually has just about every caliber you can think of except 22, with no limit on anything but 9mm and the nonexistent 22.

I can find 20 round boxes of decent 5.56 and questionable Russian .223 and 5.56, but no cases. Also, fortunately for me and my Glock 23, my local Wal Mart also has been keeping .40 S&W on the shelf.
