anyone ever transport a firearm on the airlines?

Flew about 4-5 years ago out of Pensacola into Texas...pretty much what others have described. Only thing I remember is that ammo and guns could not fly in the same luggage, don't know if that changed. If you do have a TSA approved lock, they zip tie the gun case and put Red tape around it so...

      Stamping an AR Lower Receiver

Yep...read the ATF GuideBook. At least a min depth of .003 inch and a print size no smaller than 1/16 of an inch. So going bigger on both. Don't want any misunderstandings with the ATF Man.

      Stamping an AR Lower Receiver

I don't intend to sell, but I don't want to be anywhere close to an ATF considered "noncompliant" weapon. The Form 1 stipulates in instruction number 2K, the requirements on marking the firearm. So, that is what I would do. I wouldn't want to be the one getting questioned by an ATF officer and...

That does look nice....any issues getting scratched up when inserting mags in?

      Stamping an AR Lower Receiver

Working on my blank lower....I think the issue is that I need to fully strip the actual lower and make it more level than what I have. I made a bench block out of a piece of spare 2x4....it's coming out better. I think that I will go over it with a dremel to make it look better. All I need is a...

      Stamping an AR Lower Receiver

Don't forget about the "Cheap As Hell" part...lol. I've had stuff laser engraved before, I'm trying to justify a 20w output laser with the wife.

      Stamping an AR Lower Receiver

Yeah, I've see that too, it looks messy. My plan B is to use a dremel and engrave that way. Just don't trust my hands to do it right off the bat.

      Stamping an AR Lower Receiver

I was wondering if anyone here has tried to Stamp their AR lower with their NFA SBS or SBR information. I'm looking to see if there was a stamp set that you used that worked pretty well for you. I have the HF ones and they suck at it on my lower blank. I know that Laser Engraving is better...

What gun stuff did you do today?

Finally finished my Form 1 suppressor build. All I need now is to find an engraver. I am toying around with buying my own, inexpensive laser engraver. But I don't know if I'm on the wife's naughty or nice list for Christmas. If anyone here has a suggestion on a budget laser engraver, I'd like to...

Oklahoma Senator vs. Teamster President...Let them go

My personal opinion is to let them go. Has anyone ever heard of Alexander Hamilton vs Aaron Burr duel. Let's see this cage match. If we had more fistfights in Congress and in the House, we'd get more stuff done. I remember growing up in Jersey. Being one of the few Asians in the neighborhood...

Paul's Top 10 Things You Need to Know as a Firearms Owner (Youtube Video)

Some good reminders and some stuff that he covered, like the mag capacity of each state. The mag capacity was like a crap, that's right. Just knowing which states have reciprocity with Florida, isn't enough to know. The whole talk made me feel like I was in school and the teacher was dropping...

      alec baldwin's shooting

For me, this whole thing is JACKED UP!. Regardless of which range you go to, who taught you how to shoot, and how many "Safety Rules" you have; the First Rule in everyone's book is...."Treat each gun/weapon as if it was loaded" PERIOD! I think he's a tard and every law-abiding citizen that...

      Fast and Furious Ukraine edition

Those guns look a whole lot better than the ones I've seen in the past coming from that part of the world. I guess you can't give a gun to Ukraine that has tape, rags and homemade metal pieces to hold stuff together.
