She is fine with the recoil of a 45, she shoots mine every time we go out and doesn't mind the kick. She usually shoots 75-100 of them per range session, plus a similar amount of 9mm.
Looking for a carry gun for the wife. Two very different calibers, but she handled my glock 30 just fine last weekend and shot over 75 rounds from it no complaints. She liked the 238 for the size, but hated my 30 for the size. How close is the 36 in size to the sig?
In other news, putting a...
Hey tenn jeep how is the proraso sapone sandalwood? I just got a cake of it in the mail and I'm anxious to give it a go. I also got some almond col conk. And yes, that stand is awesome, where did you get it?
Not cutting yourself with a double edge razor is all about blade angle, a light grip on the handle, and making several passes to take the hair down, not go agaisnt the grain all at once.
I love using a pre shave routine. I used to just wet my face and lather up, then put a hot washcloth on my face for a minute or two then wipe it off and relather before shaving. The proraso pre shave is excellent. I have some art of shaving oil but it's very thick and doesn't work nearly as...
Wet Shaving aka Retro
I've been using the proraso pre shave cream. It's LOADED with menthol so it feels great on these hot days we are having! Making a good lather does take some practice, and every soap has it's unique qualities. I also like the col conk soaps, great prices and a very good...
What happened to the other thread? I just got a big order of new soaps and stuff in. Proraso is becoming my new favorite!
Edit- that other thread became a bunch of people talking about shaving in the shower, not about actual "wet shaving" With the brush and soap and old school techniques.
I carry my g30 every day, and I wear a compression shirt with a gun pocket in it and carry my g26 when I go for a run each night. Can't even see it under there. I'm waiting.....
This is for George!
I scored 80 personal and 100 economics landing me in the libertarian area, very close to the conservative area. Sounds almost exactly like my views. I vote republican in the election, don't wanna waste my vote.
I think the prep is the most important part of shaving. The hot water to soften your skin and the hair, and the lather worked in with a brush. Some razors will be more forgiving than others but all benefit from a good pre shave and prep routine.
If anyone has any vintage ever ready brushes or...
The best part of shaving with a double edge razor is the blades are so cheap. Buy in bulk they cost about a nickel each and last 3-4 days. So even with a coarse beard it's not expensive to change blades every few shaves or even every shave. There are some extremely sharp blades out there...
I also have a gilette travel double edge razor to sell if anyone is interested. The case sucks but the razor is good. Check out Walmart for the van der hagen deluxe soap they sell. A couple bucks and it's one of my favorites. The oil that art of shaving sells will gum up your brush something...
Don't buy anything at art of shaving, you greatly overpay for their products. Stick to sites like westcoastshaving.com and similar. A great forum is badger and blade. Buy razors and stuff through the members and supplies from site sponsored vendors. That tv super speed would fetch about 25 bucks...
I have a g30 and I may trade it off for a 36, but I don't mind the 30 carried iwb. I like 10+1 there.... I also have a 26 and that one is even more comfortable. Maybe I'll get a 36 too and round out my collection!
