i got some good advice here when i was researching chain saws, now lets talk about log splitters. ive just about got that big white oak tree cut up and ready to process it into firewood. home depot wants $119 a day to rent a gas splitter. if i go that route figure i will have to hit it hard for...
take it a step forward. identify one friend who either isnt registered or doesnt vote. work on them. i have a friend i have known since the 6th grade. he just doesnt bother to vote. i am trying to get him to go with me on voting day.
well, i finally pulled the trigger. my mind was really made up over a week ago but this and that got in the way of going by the tool shack in gulf breeze. i had been there before, when i first started looking for a gas chainsaw. they were so busy that day i couldnt get any help. but i went in...

a thousand dollars is just entry level at best. i got my ATN THOR 4 thermal scope for about that on sale. that is VERY entry-level. i have been very happy with it for years, hunting hogs with success. but i really want to get one of the $4000 versions. i recommend thermal rather than night vision.
here is what i have gleaned from my research and from online advice: stihl is by far the favorites of proffessional tree trimmers, aquaintences and folks on this forum. stihl has two authorized service centers in my immediate area (milton florida) while husky has several in neighboring alabama...
i picked up a used kobalt battery saw with a 14 inch bar and i was shocked, SHOCKED at how well it works. but i still need a gas monster for some real cutting i need to do.
