If you look on page 2, I posted photos of the primer strikes. One of the first things I did was change the firing pin and add a stiffer hammer spring designed to correct this problem. -

I finally got around to digging this rifle back out and working on it. Even after shaving the firing pin it didn't like steel ammo. Light primer strike on every other round. It did chew through the brass ammo like a fat kid through cake. I set the red dot in and enjoyed firing it. Man it is loud... -

I've read up on it and I'm pretty sure i'm stuck using that steel in my good old fashion AK's Should have done my research ahead of time. I'll pick up some good ammo this week and try it at the camp this weekend. Thanks for all the advice fellows. I love this site. -
