Just like the murderer of the woman in the fitness center was let out on bond today, who is next on his kill list, keep them in jail or kill them
How screwed up we've become. No punishment or accountability, and I'm not just speaking about the criminals, the damn people who are well paid to protect us from them.
We lost a powerful deterrent when we started hiding capital punishment behind walls, hell start public corporal punishment every Wednesday afternoon on the courthouse lawn, and have public hangings on Saturdays. WTF!?

I was looking for the democrats answers to these problems. Something other than ban or confiscate guns.

The answer seems to be pretty consistent among conservatives.... We need more armed people because that is what ends up stopping crazy when all the dust settles.

Democrat ruled cities are not a failed experiment. They have done exactly what they intended to do. They are successful in their way of thinking which is why they want to make everywhere else like their cesspools.

    I figured this out early on, and adds a tremendous difference in ones life;
Mentors, find one then be one.
I'm 58 and still seek them out, and I try to talk to people giving sane advice as to how life is supposed to be.
Now this is something completely different than just fathering, it's a different dynamic when a mother is factored in.

we are learning now that police were on site for an hour or so and NOT making entry. there is even video of police restraining parents from trying to go in. this does not jibe with any training i know of. when i was a DOD cop we were trained extensively on active shooter scenarios. the jist is you DO NOT wait for back up. you GO IN. to paraphrase one instructor as best as i can remember: "if entering alone gets you killed, gets the next officer killed, or the next, sooner or later one of you will get him. there is not time to set up a perimeter, to form an assault unit. you have to go. your entry ties him up, interrupts his plan, makes him expend ammo fighting you. you are selling your life for the lives of the victims. its what you signed on for."

if you cant come to terms with that you dont need to be in that line of work.

every second counts in an active shooter situation. how many kids could have been saved if officers have immediately attempted entry? even beating on doors, smashing windows would have at least distracted him. it breaks my heart that they didnt go in.
Best comment so far. I can't wrap my head around their actions. I completely agree with you. None of this makes any sense. I feel this is going to a more common occurrence as we approach the mid terms. I hope I'm wrong.

A completely fucked thought, but wouldn't be surprising if they weren't ordered to stand down from the big guy. He needs leverage to get anything done, even at the cost of sacrificial lambs...

This is it exactly. I have been saying the same thing for years, but most people do not realize or understand it. Most think leftist's screw things up because they are incompetent. Actually they screw things up because they are very competent. They want things screwed up so they can say how our system does not work and replace it with their communism, although they call it "democratic socialism" but it all boils down to communism. Another thing about them is they constantly lie because if they told the truth we would have marched them out at gunpoint many years ago.

But damn he bought some high end stuff. I figured he spent at minimum $2,000 on the DD after taxes, another $600 on the EOTech, another $200 on ammo, and around $1,600 on the new I-Phone all the while being teased because he was poor. I think he was radicalized.
    Free Biden checks???

I used my stimulus money to purchase a rifle.
Sorry, I didn't get any of them checks. I was the one paying for them. When you make more than the threshold, you don't get free money, they take it from people like me to give to the rest of the country.

Just watched an update. Seems initial misinformation was passed on... as usual. It's now reported the gunman was not confronted at the onset as initially reported.

Seems he was engaged fairly quickly after doing his evil deeds, and due to his position/firepower, the at scene units contained him. Seems reasonable as I'm not seeing where he moved on from his initial position. Has anyone seen reports otherwise?

Containment appears to have lasted close to an hour when USPB Spec Ops guys pressed the fight.

IF TRUE, the visuals of the cops not "doing anything" is perhaps misleading as containment is a tactical goal in active shooter incidents. Downside is what about emergency medical care for the wounded?

Containment, while not as preferred as elimination or capture, still saves lives as it prevents the shooter from reaching new targets.

Scot Peterson at Sandy Hook was a coward... cut and dry, I'm not seeing that as of yet in this incident. I'll hold judgement until better and clearer information is available.

Same as what I just saw with Texas DPS interview.
Fuktard, tough guy was in school for 40 minutes - 1 hour in school until LE was able to intervene.

I'm sorry containment while children are dying is a cop out to them sitting around doing nothing. Wasn't until a real man showed up and went in and killed the asswipe that this ended.
You ever get so angry you want to cry ? 40 minutes , WTF . Salty just put out a video.

No offense but I'm not sure I agree with your statement that there was no intervention for 40 minutes to an hour. Perhaps I am misreading your thought/comment.?

The intervention was almost immediate via initial officer engagement and the resulting containment, which is a tactical goal of active shooing incidents, and no doubt saved lives.

The "intervention" provided by the first arriving LEO's prevented the shooter from going mobile... I think we all know what the results would have been had the shooter been unencumbered by initial responding officers.

I wasn't there obviously but it appears the containment came on the heels of the active killing. I'm not seeing any reports that killing and/or shooting, besides that between the bad guy and LEO's, was ongoing or intermittent during the 40 minutes to hour being discussed.

In my Active Shooter Response Instructor course I completed at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, the following are initial goals of AS response: 1) Isolate; 2) Contain; 3) Eliminate. In this case, #2 was accomplished rather quickly and led to #3 being accomplished with no loss of life in-between the two goals.

I have accomplished all three goals, in the order presented, in a real situation. So I look at these incidents closely for lessons learned.

Not a cop out or making excuses Sir. Was just trying to add context for those interested.

I think think he was speaking for the time for local law enforcement to intervene. I'll find the video and post it.
