      RL 19 sometimes would work if the gun wouldn't shoot one of the 4350's . IIRC in the '06 with a 165 Nos PT 61.5grs RL19 was in the ballpark with 59.0grs H or I 4350 , check a manual as I'm older than dirt..............

      Black bear is a whole different animal . 30 cal rather the 06 , 300 mag 180gr Partition would be IMHO hard to beat . No sense in kicking the snot outta yerself . 300 mag with a muzzle brake would be tolerable for both of you .

      Most professional guides will refuse you to use such light calibers . Most insist on 375 H&H unless they personally know your capabilities . I'd also check the state rules .
