I'm looking at stepping up to the Hornady auto-progressive press. This will primarily be for pistol rounds. Do you not chamfer/deburr pistol cases? Is this done prior to resize? With my single stage I'm resizing, expanding, chamfer/deburr, prime, charge, seat bullet. Any help would be much appreciated

Not usually . The only exception is brand new Starline brass as they come a little ragged from the factory & hang up on the powder measure / belling stem if I don't . All that said Starline cases are some of the best . Buy direct from them for best price . www.starlinebrass.com . I live in Gulf Breeze behind the police / fire station & would be willing to give help when needed .

No. Flare the case mouth barely enough for the bullet base to fit in. I match the brand of case with the brand of primer.
