We prepare for the worst EVERY hurricane season, all vehicles filled with gas, enough food for easily 6 months or more, tons of water, 7 five gallon gas cans filled, 7 propane tanks filled. 3 four wheel drive vehicles. All going to be used regardless if there is a storm or not. Better to be a warrior in a garden than a gardener in a war.
Latest models showing it entering the Gulf and then curving back in near Tampa Bay, not even sure if we'll get much rain at all!Mikes weather page is saying possible Cat II and 40” of rain
Never know, I’m preparing for 40” just like I prepare for SHTFLatest models showing it entering the Gulf and then curving back in near Tampa Bay, not even sure if we'll get much rain at all!
I think this is just for the upcoming election. Funny thing it's just some sacks, no sand in em. You should see the pissed off people, lol. What storm? I don’t see anything on the usual sources…
Hope we send you some help from Alabama should you guys need it!Newest info is that it should be a strong CAT 1 when it hits and might have some staying power. Predicted to still be a hurricane when it reaches the Fla/Ga border.
Being in Tally it's coming right at us, but we've been through worse. The Mrs and I spent some time digging a trench where water pools when the rain gets heavy and we moved the yard furniture around. I don't anticipate losing power for more than a day or two so we didn't go out and buy anything hurricane specific. We did fill our vehicles up, but that's about it. My gas chainsaw has enough fuel and my 40v electric chainsaw can pretty much handle most tasks we would need in our suburban lot.
We hope everyone comes out with just some minor yard cleanup and a day off from work. I was scheduled to be in training tomorrow, and I am waiting to see if it will just be a day completely off or if they are going to have us come in and do storm stuff.
Last info I got was landfall was supposed to be between 7-8 a.m. Eastern time.
I was coming back from Wallwood Boy Scout Reservation yesterday evening and saw four lineman vehicles (bucket trucks with logos) coming off I-10 with Indiana plates. I'm sure the Alabama crowd will be here if they aren't already.Hope we send you some help from Alabama should you guys need it!
