Maybe one of the FFL-holders can chime in.
For active-duty military on permanent assignment orders to Florida, the military ID, plus the current/valid orders, plus proof of an address (utilities bill with your name and the address) should suffice. If my memory is 100%...

For you, with the USCG being part of DHS now (right?) yet still considered a military service under some rules, I'm not sure about the applicable BATFE rules.

Are you a CA resident but on permanent duty orders assigned to Florida?

Regardless, congrats on leaving Kommifornia, and welcome to a free state.

I'll have to ask either way I'm going to get a FL license but I need to hurry because I don't know how long the gun I want will be available, and yes Ca resident permanent station here

If your mil ID is current with pcs orders, you're good. No FL CCW gets you the 3 day wait though.

    What are you looking at?

FWIW. Some ffls have been known to sit on things waiting for people to get back from offshore/det/ deployment and or to get the required proof of ID/ residency.
