Just got in two new 20" cutter head disc blades for the 1 1/8" axles on a HD House disc set. They were heavily painted, so looked thick enough, so OK, but they had fairly dull edges, like square on the edge. I thought Ok, should still work. Very first use, ran over a medium size pine root that the disc should have cut, nope, it bent the blade, took an hour to straighten it, and sharpen it and it did bent back straight, now that blade should have broken if it was tempered. So is just plain Jane, thin mild steel, just cheap crap, compared to the other original blades on this House heavy duty disc set. These new blades were advertised as House replacement parts..... Yeah, a very cheap adz house.

Reminded me of the first box of #12 common nails made in China that I got it at my building materials supply store, you could not drive one of those nails into anything but a soft spruce stud. If you tried to drive them in yellow pine, they looked like a pretzel.
