They didn't get in trouble with .gov (never been illegal to make your own gun for your own personal use, look up 80% receivers). The owners of the 3D printer rescinded their contract because they felt uncomfortable with them making guns and therefore confiscated it.

If anyone buys a 3D printer, I have all the files to print a variety of items including AR lowers and magazines. I suggest everyone download them and put them some place safe.

I work with CAD but don't have access to a 3D printer. Cool stuff, if this gets rolling I could very well design my own lower. Hmmmm....
