I gotta say, feels like I'm paying more every day but when I check my retirement accounts with stocks, it puts a smile on my face. Of course I'm just giving the money to a food/oil/retail corporations, hoping for huge profits, then getting rising stock worth on profits. If I could cut out the middle man...Even the dirt's worth more.

Well after reading the original post. Not sure how to think except for being thankful that I'm not in a majority of the bad stats. Gosh. My Pop and grandpa really did have it good. Glad they raised me like it was the 50s and 60s.

Saw today that Biden is not going to replace the oil in the Strategic Petroleum Reserve that he released the last time price of gas went sky high. Ya know, when gas prices surged so high because of his "was on fossil fuels". His rationale for not replacing is that gas prices are already too high. Imagine that, restrict drilling, war in Middle East, kiss Maduro"s ass didn't work, and it is election year!

    Ah, now I understand.

Dementia In Charge releasing gasoline from the strategic reserve in the northeast. Gotta keep the price of gas artificially low for the coming election. Who cares if we deplete our strategic reserve as long as we win the elections!
Yep, read about that the other day, pretty sad. What worries me is all the idiots that won't know why the price of gas is going down and still vote for Mr. Dementia!

A new bill has been introduced in Congress aiming to ban .50 caliber firearms and ammunition. This legislation, titled the “Stop Arming Cartels Act of 2024,” seeks not only to prohibit the future sale and possession of .50 caliber rifles but also to force current owners to register their firearms under the National Firearms Act (NFA). The bill includes additional provisions to allow lawsuits against gun manufacturers under certain conditions.

Incidentally I noticed on the way to work today going up Eglin Parkway the lowest price of regular gas was $3.15, up from $2.95 earlier in the week, must be due to the holiday, damn the gas reserves release LOL!

Tensions between China and the United States have been escalating for years, fueled by economic competition, geopolitical disputes, and a series of diplomatic confrontations. Recently, China has taken a significant step that further complicates this fraught relationship by cutting ties with a record number of US treasuries and agency debt bonds worth $53.3 billion. This historic move, the largest sell-off initiated by China, coincides with a broader trend of BRICS countries offloading US treasuries since 2022.

The American economy is not as strong as we all thought. Growth has slowed to stall speed over the last four months. It looks like a hardish landing after all.

Citigroup has become the first big American bank to warn that the US has already tipped into a recession. Once this process begins, it can snowball very fast into mass business layoffs unless the Federal Reserve moves fast.

another oh crap moment coming soon.... but don't believe your lying eyes, the economy is great....

boss's wife just bought 3 bags of groceries @ walmart, $126.00.....
