It doesn't do anything 22 WMR won't do... Especially from a pistol.

With all do respect sir that is a totally incorrect statement.

There are multiple tests comparing the two ballisticly with regards to velocity, energy transfer, and bullet charicteristics. The 5.7 blows Thw WMR away with regards to each.

on a side note there are two other cheaper pistols out by Excell arms that are chambered in both.

Miami you seem to be up on these things. Is there any difference in the LEO only ammo made by FNH and some of the rounds made by elite ammo for the 5.7? Just wondering.

I honestly do not know specifics,or all and all that much about the round, other than what I remember reading around the net when I was concidering it as a cool little wildcat round, but could not find any practical use for it for me to justify spending the cash . With that said I do remember reading that the round is not availible to us regular folks, and I would be honestly lying to you all if I gave you an answer more than that.I THINK that they were loaded hotter with the same bullet.I do know that E.A.(Elite Ammo) makes them and they are called devistator rounds.Off to see exactly the diffrence is...

check wikipedia, some info. on the round and who uses it
follow up shots are quick, some what more accurate due to low recoil
commercial rounds and custom are out there
it is an interesting gun to shoot

Saw one at Destin Guns today for $950. Not sure if it was new or used. Nice store over there.

I had one for a while and I ended up selling it. Its a great gun and fun to shoot. it will go right through a treated 4x4 but then again so will my 357 sig. I think a lot of the police are starting to use it mainly because even though you are carying 20 rounds it is still supper light weight when fully loaded. I know the Southlake police in Texas adapted them. Its a supper fast bullet and its real accurate. recoil almost nill and I could re-acquire my target real fast. My Main gripe was that the only ammo avail was from FN and it was hard to find unless I went to cabelas.....
