Yeah that is the main downside to these builds. They use most AR-15 parts but the upper and lower are wider than a standard AR-15 to allow them to use AK mags.
It has been super reliable and more than capable of accuracy that surpasses the capabilities of the 7.62X39 cartridge.
PSA has KS-47 lowers in stock for $279 so for around $750 you could have a kickass weapon . All the knockdown of an AK but non of the Jihadist allah akbar aesthetics.
