    Howdy folks!
I used to have a nearby pawn shop handle all my transfers, but they closed in July, so I am now an FFL orphan. There's a couple of shops nearby that will go unnamed, where the folks seem indifferent to getting business, so while I use them for specialized needs, I'd like to find a good, friendly, reasonable FFL to handle my transfers.
By the way, this next transfer is particularly exciting for me since it'll be for my very first Wilson Combat 1911.
Any volunteers or recommendations? I really appreciate any input. Thanks!

I've been using Coastal Gun & Ammo. Jim charges $25 and is great...

I used to have a nearby pawn shop handle all my transfers, but they closed in July, so I am now an FFL orphan. What I liked the most about them is that they were very friendly and since I'm waiting on my carry license, they would sometimes count weekends when they were open as business days. Having to wait 5 (3 + full weekend) days for a new toy is excruciating. There's a couple of shops nearby that will go unnamed, where the folks seem indifferent to getting business, so while I use them for specialized needs, I'd like to find a good, friendly, reasonable FFL to handle my transfers.

Are you looking for an FFL to "bend" the rules?

Post edited. No rules were ever broken. Please don't call the ATF...

Wasn't intending to. I've heard lots of examples of FFLs that did things that weren't 100% in the clear due to ignorance or because they wanted to make the sale. It's a slippery slope. Don't give them a reason to come looking.

One of the funniest lines from a movie, at least to me, is: "I'm guessing you're not here for the alcohol or tobacco" or something like that, can't remember the movie. Funny line, but one I hope never to have the opportunity to say.

That would have been Nicolas Cage from Lord of War, that was a great line...

Lots of support for LJ, good deal, but unfortunately a bit far for me. Especially since it'd be 2 trips for handguns. Apparently, Interstate Pawn is on Fairfield too, I might try them since they're much closer.

Anyone ever dealt with Larry at Ammunition Sales Co. on Sycamore?

Interstate Pawn olive rd or fairfield $20.00

I've used Tim at interstate on Olive several times and have been nothing less than pleased. The 20 bucks is per transaction, not per item like some other shops. So it doesn't matter if you order one wilson combat 1911 or 10 stripped lowers, the price is still 20 bucks.
