I'm starting a goodwill for guns and ammo. It will be a place where all neglected and unloved firearms of all shapes and calibers can congregate peacefully and know they have an equal opportunity to find a new loving owner. I'll accept mail in donations, I will pay for shipping, & give you a receipt for an absurd amount of money for a tax write off.
    PM me. ;)

I stop by several thrift stores several times a week. I buy all manner of camo, boots, camping and boating equipment there. Sometimes even find boats. What makes this areas thrift stores so good is the Bible Belt environment and good people's willingness to spread the love. Milton is in the Guinness Book for most churches per capita in the whole country, and there's half a dozen mega thrift stores within easy driving distance because of it. There's always one on the way, no matter which way you're going, and sometimes the penny saved is the penny earned that pays for the whole tank of gas you just spent going downtown

Great pair of ICB Goretex combat boots sitting at the teen super thrift challenge thrift store right now on 9th avenue by Pensacola State college in Pensacola. Size 11W, insulated, speed laces, full leather uppers and non steel toe... $8. Was probably closer to $200 new

I’ve found some great stuff at Goodwill and Waterfront Mission over the years. Kept some and flipped some.
One of the best was a pair of snake boots by W.C. Russell Moccasin Co. I bought them at the Goodwill in Panama City for $20. They are only available mail order special order for $700.
Bought a like-new desert camo goretex army jacket for $7.
I once bought a super nice goretex suit that had US Navy on it. Still had the tags on it. Research showed it was issued to the Naval Academy sailing team. The suit in the civilian version was $1,000.
I could go on and on. I’ve bought some great stuff cheap.
But I’ve noticed lately that their inventory seems to be way down. Not much there so I don’t stop in like I used to.
Same with pawn shops. Not much there anymore.

Gotta go often to find the good stuff before somebody else finds it

Then there was the heavy steerhide motorcycle jacket for $8, the leather flight jacket for $25, the 6 hp Evinrude for $60……
