This is a rare H&R Ultra 301 Carbine bolt action in 300 Win Mag. In a day of plastic stocks and flat finishes this rife stands out. Beautiful full length Fajen stock with hand cut checkering, deep beautiful bluing. H&R built these rifles on true FN Belgium Mauser actions with Sako adjustable triggers and Douglas Premium Air Gap barrels. It has a 18 inch barrel that shoots lights out with premium ammo. Not to many manufacturers take the time to build rifles like this nowadays and if they do you are gonna pay a hefty price for it. Trade interests , 1911’s, wheel guns, Leverguns, boltgun in .338 Win Mag, may consider others also. Trade value just because it is required around $850 $750 cash

That is gorgeous… but a 300 win mag out of an 18” barrel has to kick like a jack mule! Is it as bad as I think it is??

Surprisingly it is not as bad as you would think. Especially after your mount a scope on it.
