Wanting to start hunting with a recurve bow. Looking for a decent hunting recurve without spending an arm and a leg.

Three Rivers Archery is a good spot to get decent gear. I just got a recurve bow myself. I ended getting a Hoyt Satori 55 lb 21 inch riser medium length limbs . You can get a take down style recurve for under 300 and some under 200 hundred

Check out the “Ranger” or the “Scout”.

Brand new. $160, right now. Fits into a standard back pack. Just add arrows (they have fancy takedown ones, too). Pick your draw weight. Add a different set of limbs later, if desired.

Edit to clarify: I typed “Brand new” meaning the bow would be new and not used from someone else where you wouldn’t know the use/abuse history on the riser and limbs.

The company has been around for a long time. Look up the owner/inventor (Doug Shadwell?). Nice folks.
