I thought that was normal operations for the LC plant? When they dont have contracts to fill you can buy the overage.
As I understand it is but we’ve got used to there always being excess.

The question I have is whether it’s based in reality or politics?

Given the world situation I’d guess reality. Every country is stockpiling arms and ammo.

I managed to grab a hundred rounds of the last 5.56 TSUSA had over the weekend at .38 a round. Sold out shortly after. They had tons of options last week, all disappeared in a day.

They still have some PMC green tip at .55c and a number of 223 options.

It does not appear this “panic” has affected shotgun or pistol ammo, yet….

Yup, the .22LR makes me laugh every time I see it on here. All over the shelf at Walmart. Then the guy wanting $1/rnd of your normal trap/skeet 7 1/2 low brass 12ga that's $40/100.

Some of you all should stop trying to move stuff here and get into comedy because your selling angles are hilarious..
    Aint that the truth

Doubt it will, winchester operates 2 other plants that also make shotshell and pistol rounds.

    Hornady blows up often.

Those company’s got sold to the czechs, this is a non issue imo.

Lake City has always had a policy of only selling excess, seems likely that between israel and ukraine, govt ammo contracts are fixing to ramp up.
Take it how you like, I was just posting what I saw, not commenting one way or another.

No 5.56 to be found around here…. I don’t think this will turn into a full scale ammo panic. I think a few people bought large quantities when this news dropped, places will restock and we’ll be fine.

Most 5.56 on the shelves is imported anyways.

Yeah but thats joe blow, im expecting composure from the intelligent folks here.

Also i need to see exchange rate on ammo to tp
I agree; hopefully people learned from the last 7 ammo shortages. But with history as our guide, the likelihood of that is... practically nil.

I've seen people at GCG buying Winchester 5.56 Green Tip at $400 for 500 rounds. At .80 cents a round, no thanks. You can still get PMC Green Tip for about .50 cents a round.

But... tax free. Still, better to buy it at .80 than at 1.60 or - not at at all. :/
