Considering the cost of home-owners insurance in Florida

Wait till the remaining home insurers in FL get their pending downgrade and/or go out of business when the next storm hits. When the mortgage company "force places" your insurance, your eyes are gonna bleed!

Ugh, this takes forever. I want my dirt now!!! Waiting on survey, then perk test. Then haggling over terms. Then power, water etc..
The Bride is in the driver's seat on this one. I feel bad for the seller, shes relentless. I'm gonna have to go back to the boat later this week.
It's crazy, I could walk on a lot and buy an 80k truck in 3 hours. Nuts.

Tell your lender ASAP if you want to go that direction - sometimes it requires addition work on their end to get it approved and you dont want to spring it on them last minute.

Yep, already have POA. All parties involved already know. She bought the last house and truck using it.

20 ac near Range, AL. South west of evergreen. About 60 miles ENE of my place now. Will probably buy the other 20 east of me when dust settles. Finely a place to build a range and has 2 deer shooting plots as well. May be hogs here as well, dont know. Will be great to walk out and test handloads!!

I was just talking to a fella today that bought 200 acres in Lillian AL.
He said there are a lot of properties (acreage) for sale with good prices.
Just his opinion, as I haven't done the research.
If you would be willing to leave the Free Country of Florida?

Thanks! Started packing up the house. I think we need a construction dumpster, Bride gave me a dirty look. Lol. It amazes me the amount of clutter in our lives.
