Ok here is what I do know, it looks like a Springfield, it is a 300 win mag, it was givin to me by my father who bought it used. The fellow he got it from said the original bbl was burned up??? So the made a bbl which you can tell, but it shoots great. It has a machined custom muzzle break which it shoots like a .243 very cool!! But I was looking to upgrade the optics and go to a 1 piece DNZ style ring system for it, but I really have no info on it, everything I google looks like older ww2 style rifles. So any advice or help identifying the model, history. Etc... Is appreciated.

Wow!! The thing still shoots awesome! Probably because of the new bbl, but the action is still really tight! Some of these other gun makers should take some notes!
