Just watching some news tonight and they interviewed someone with the NRA who stated that they do not believe an AWB is going to be included in new gun regulatiins passed by Obama. There will be high cap magazine bans and background checks for all gun sales, but no AWB.

So if this is true then a bunch of people spent way more for an AR then they should have.

I saw something like that too. I believe the NRA said that Congress wouldn't approve an AWB. Nothing about Obama and Biden though. That's what they are after.

I think they will reach a deal where it will include something to do with a person's mental status (not sure how it will be enforced) imports, private sales and maybe mags of some sort.

    Just my guess

I see it coming, but I don't see it being constitutionally legal. I also see the conservative side not having the cahoneys to fight like they should..

There's a lot to be worried about. Wonder what they're doing while we're worrying about gun control?

Senator just asked the manufacturers to suspend sales of AR style rifles till congress has time to act.

President Obama May Change His Mind On Assault Weapons Ban

    http://www.yourblackworld.net/2013/01/black-news/president-assault-weapons/

As far as I'm concerned, this is a trick or just a delay to keep us pacified while he strengthens his case, and at the same time cover up Benghazi. I think he has also realized that trying to grandstand the inauguration by announcing new gun controls on that day, probably isn't such a good idea.

I just read the news and he signed 23 executive actions and wants congress to take action on 4 topics.

    1. AWB on military style rifles

    2. Gun show loop holes

    3. Magazine capacity ban

    4. People who sell to people who can't own.

I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop.

AWB and magazine limits will not pass in Congress, period. Last gun show I went to I had to do a background check and I had to check the little box on the ATF form that it was not a straw purchase.

    Agreed..
They are getting suprisingly good at using one crisis to detract attention from another one. Actually, the best I've ever seen.

I'm sure this is all some sort of mis-direction......."Hey guys....quick!! Look over there!!!!"
