My dad was stationed in Japan from '49-'53. Growing up I was always amazed at his fluency in Japanese, spoken and written. On my grandma's death bed I mentioned that about him and she replied "Honey, of course your dad was fluent. He had a live in the whole time he was over there. If you knew my dad, Mr. Moral, you would know the pure shock I went through at that statement. Finally, about 15 years ago dad and I was talking and I brought up knowing about his "friend". He freaked out that I knew and wondered how grandma (his mom) had known about it. I told him that she learned about it from his brother. Dad was NOT happy. Finally, about 5 years ago dad got out a box of pictures with some of her in it. She was hawt!!! According to him if his family hadn't been so against mixed race marriages I would have slanted eyes and black hair. As it turns out he only thought his family would object. I surveyed all the brothers and sisters and grandma. No one gave a shit.

My wife turned 50 the day before yesterday and I got a smack on the back of the head. Apparently telling her when we got married she had big boobs and long legs and now she has long boobs and big legs but she's mine and I still love her wasn't the compliment she was looking for on her birthday. :whistle: :doh:
