I found 2 ammo boxes of this ammo in the widow’s garage that I’m helping.
What did this go to and ballpark value?
    Is there any collector’s value?
    Thanks in advance.

240 rounds, i have bought for $200 before, and have paid more also. check if sga ammo has in stock, maybe a guideline... i usually figure between .95 cents to $1.05 per round..
clips usually run $1 if in rusted condition, or $2 for unrusted condition.

Lot SL 35766 is non corrosive primed M2 ball ammo. Minus the M1 clips, you could probably get 50 cents to $1 per round. Quick sell local at 50 cents. Slow sell at $1 per round and take up to a year to sell local. Agree on the clip prices already posted.

Note: a view of some of the headstamps would help confirm the lot number on the can matches the ammo inside. I.e., if other than SL and/or the year date does not conform to non corrosive, that ammo is not original to the can and would require more examination to determine exactly what’s there and type of primer.

If the bottom line is helping the owner and no one wants the hassle of advertising and holding onto something while waiting for a firm buyer to come along, and someone will pay $200 per can right now, go for it. Everyone wins…found money for the widow and a good buy for the buyer. 30/06 is not as popular as it used to be.
