What do you guys, or gals, use to remove crimps in military brass primer pockets? I'm looking to upgrade my method.

I have never reloaded tons of military cases so I have always just used a drill bit in my drill press. I am seriously considering ordering the DILLON 600 SUPER SWAGE. http://www.grafs.com/catalog/product/productId/3086/inline/1

Good luck finding one for a reasonable price. I was orginally looking to get one of those, but they were going for double the retail price a couple months ago when I ended up getting the CH4D.

Yeah but that is serious overkill for 90% of us.

Look on ebay. I was on there and they weren't that bad. Might have to look for a few days but it might be worth the time. If something is broke on it Dillon will send you the parts even if you aren't the orginal owner.

Some years ago I acquired some 5.56 and 7.62 LC73 "MATCH" brass. This does not have a crimp. Before that I used and older RCBS primer pocket swedger, but had to follow up with a case mouth champfer tool. --- SAWMAN

I use the RCBS swager. It does a pretty good job and doesnt break the bank.

Get a Dillon 1050 super. It saves all of you problems. Just my 2 cents jj

Jerome, you think I'm rich? I'm just a poor old carpenter !!!

Actually I had a older 1050 once but sold it before I ever used it. Same goes for a 650 with all the bells and whistles, sold it all before I ever took it out of the box.

I have been using a Dremel and a chamfer bit, works great but I'd like to get a swedger, probably RCBS or Dillon if'n I can find one.

Not really, I actually got more for the stuff than I paid new, the prices went up that much in the years it sat in the back room.

I mostly reload for accuracy so plodding along with a single stage is the best way for me to load precision ammo. I can also load pistol rounds fairly quickly too with the Rock Chucker. Progressives are great but I'm quite happy with a single stage.

I use a Trim Mate but it doesn't have a reamer, where did you get your bit for the Lyman Junky?
