Picked this pistol up a while back off the forum and have decided to chock it up as a major loss. The pistol is a 1943 colt that was converted into a national match for the army shooting team. It's equipped with a adjustable trigger, adjustable triangle sights, stippled grip, NM barrel bushing, and has been hand honed for nice buttery smooth operation. NOW FOR THE BAD!!!! the pistol is experiencing a hammer drop issue where when you rack the slide the hammer falls to half cock about 50% of the time. It has done this since day 1 of me owning it. Finally decided to fix it so I have a new sear, disconnector, and hammer coming for it that should fix this issue. THE BIGGER ISSUE. There is a small crack on the frame right above the slide release that I found when disassembling the gun to replace parts. Could be fixed but beyond my abilities at home. SELLING FOR PARTS ONLY!!!! I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH THIS PISTOL IS BEING SOLD AS A NON FUNCTIONAL GUN. Asking $500 includes the new parts I have coming for it as well as a set of reproduction walnut grips.
