I need iron sights on my bush rifles. Me and red dots don't get along because I have an astigmatism. And at anything under 100 yards I don't like having my crosshairs whole inches above the bore. The front sight on the 30-30 barrel literally fell off just yesterday morning on the way to our meeting. Tough luck, right?! But otherwise I would have bought it! Glad I got to take a look at it. A new front sight can surely be drilled and tapped further down the barrel, but on an inexpensive rifle like this it would cost more than it would be worth in gunsmithing. To me. Maybe not to somebody else... I would need to find a rear sight too. But anyways, the optics rail is in good shape if somebody wants to put an optic on it
