PM inbound with questionsno I will not trade for your Glock or ar collection this is a rare item to own.
This one is post-Dec. 1967 as evidenced by the A1 birdcage FH. A shot of the serial number and barrel markings would tell what year it was made. It could be anywhere from 1968-1985.It’s pretty rare , you don’t see a $6000 dollar colt ar every day.

I have a SP1 datebase source that I use that is on the AR-15 Forum (Retro section). It has been compiled over several years by those who own and have owned Colt SP1 Sporters since they were produced in 1964. It is one of the best and most thorough sources available right now. If you ask most people on this forum, they will tell you that I know a little bit about retro Colts.May I ask where you are getting that info
Retroblackrifle.com is a good source. I have used them many times as a reference on many retro Colt models when I was building clones.
And you've built some of the nicest ones out there. I was tempted to sell a car when you put that set up for sale.Retroblackrifle.com is a good source. I have used them many times as a reference on many retro Colt models when I was building clones.
