Varies from person to person...How, and to what extent do pain meds affect a blood alcohol content?
The guy cop definitely being a jackass and should be dealt with accordingly.
However, if a drunk idiot killed my kid, you can bet your ass I'd be there drawing the blood myself, and fuck the perp's "privacy policy" they kinda left that by the wayside when they decided to drive while hammered or high.

Yep, go get the warrant and let the guy sober up while the papers get drawn up, even if he wreaks of booze and there's a bottle of bourbon on the floorboard...

After some reading, I've found out that the guy whose blood drawing was in question was not the suspect. I was erroneously under the impression he was the suspect, and had been drinking.
Please disregard...
Sounds like your grinding the axe about dozens of cases of repeated abuse. As vocal as you are about this "abuse and intimidation" you surely reported it. Please reference a few written responses you have received from the listed LE Agencies or their supervisory authorities in regard to your complaints.
Seems odd that preceived abuse and intimidation, reported once or several times would continue if violations of policy and conduct standards were actually found. Either way, their would be a official response and further action by the hospital and or multiple employees if not corrected or satisfied with the response and result during subsequent encounters.
I called the house supervisor on every single incident and most of the time, the administrator on call was contacted by house supervisor. Being a charge nurse, I had plenty of other shit to deal with after my house supervisor showed up to handle the LEOs. I didn't go above my supervisors to make a report myself. My floor manager was also notified the next day every time.

So the hospital's senior management "handled it" but intimidation and abuse continues, you report it and nothing happens. You know you have Rights as you often opinion about them (+ the above incidents), yet you choose not to hold your employer (who has a duty to protect hospital interests and employees) accountable nor do you directly file a complaint on your behalf or collectively with the other abused Staff.
It's a shame nobody wants to properly and formally address this issue.
Nice try at twisting it back on me, and don't bother using semantics to pretend like that's not what's going on. I figured that people wouldn't want to hear that kind of stuff, but sometimes reality isn't comfortable. Next time I'll be sure to file a formal complaint and I'll come back here to show you the copies.
Your bashing three LE Agencies and saying the probem has not been fixed. I have zero problems when LE screws the pooch on any level and is appropriately held accountable. You say abuse and intimidation from LE is still going on, which makes me wonder WHY. It can only be a failure of: reporting, corrective action (if appropriate: Policy/conduct vs complaint) and responses to the Hospital management or complainant. You reported its a problem impacting a lot of hospital Staff. I'm not twisting or turning anything, There are clear responsibilities. If Agencies have been informed (several times?) of the issues and not responded, that is a major issue that needs to be formally presented to their supervising authority. If your chain of command and human resources dept are broken and not properly addressing what could be a unlawful and creating a hostile work environment: you have other options if you wish to persue them. I'm not poking with a stick. I am trying to show support for options you have probably already considered. Anyone who has read your other posts knows you speak whats on your mind and don't sugar coat it. I don't think you would appreciate me tip toeing around the issues either, no disrespect intended by my bluntness.
Former officer's sentence on drug charge stirs outrage
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- A former police sergeant was caught on camera stealing drugs from the Grants Police Department and then giving those drugs to his girlfriend. Roshern McKinney accepted a plea deal and won't have to spend one day in jail.
