Everything is hitting a lot differently right now than ever before. I want to be 100% wrong in what I am saying right now. I really believe we're heading for the worst recession/depression in the history of our country. There is too many indicators right now. Housing cannot sustain this level of pricing with rates going up they're already starting to sell much slower, record repossessions are happening right now with vehicles sitting waiting to be sold, the price of groceries keeps going up, wages are not following the prices of goods right now, we have a leader who wants to send $100+ more billion dollars to foreign nations, the working class being "squeezed" like I have never seen. We all need to be ready and really tighten up. I am very concerned right now.

With this election year only getting crazier I would suspect that real estate prices here in FL only climb. Along with inflated groceries and fuel. I think Florida is the most inflated state of the 50, but it’s more appealing than those democratic shit holes.
The dollar will hang in there as long as we are trading oil with it. A few countries have decided to go a different route and it’s create some problems for them.

Prepare accordingly. The camel can only handle a few more straws.

What money? All I ever see is 0's and 1's. Paid electronically, spend electronically. The only time I see cash is during a trunk sale ( sometimes not even then) or the casino.
This. One thing a lot of folks miss is that our gov't is continually shorting the dollar. Imagine if you could write yourself a loan and then cause the money you use to pay back the loan to continually deflate in value. As an example, a $1000 loan taken out in 1993 can be paid back with $1000 in 2023 dollars - only now those dollars are worth only half as much. Meanwhile - everything else including wages has doubled so you have no problems paying back that loan - you're basically getting a 50% discount. Hopefully you used it to buy something tangible like a house or similar.

Turn your TV off and listen to something else on the radio other than Glenn. Ignorance helps those who have given up hope

I think there's a hole in this logic. But can't put my finger on it.

You mean like the part where today's ruling class gets to enjoy unlimited largess at the expense of our children and grandchildren? Well there's that. Not so much of a problem if you are a total sociopath, which is kind of a prerequisite for any significant gov't position.

Joe got this!! He’s gonna win with 90 million “votes” this time and he will keep trying to read the teleprompter after his shots to help his brain spark a little! And Russia, China, Iran and the U.N. will keep doing what they do! We’ll die off and the young folks will have their smart phones and will accept that living in mud huts and eating leaves and bugs is helping to save the planet! They will own nothing and be happy! Gov will continue to encourage weed to help them adjust to the “new” way!

Until something big happens the tax slaves will keep plodding along. That's why they spend so much on free programs. Pay out just barely enough to keep the lid on with promises of more free stuff, later.

DeSantis spent $12 million to fly migrants from Texas to blue states. 12 million taxpayer dollars.

The federal government spent $751 billion on defense last year and we’re not in an active war (aside from proxy wars.)

The issue is not that there isn’t money to improve quality of life/infrastructure/etc. There’s plenty of money. There’s also billions in untapped tax dollars that corporations and the wealthy have loopholed out of. They just use it to line their pockets and play little political games to divert attention from where the cash is going.

The only time folks are going to make a change in this untenable way of life is when they realize that this is not a political war, it is a class war.
You either have money or you do not, and the financial and political systems are designed to keep it that way. This is not 1960 or 1970 or even 2010. You cannot bootstrap your way out of this. This is late-stage capitalism at work. Everyone thinks it is going to right itself, but it’s already on the way out.

What’s the future? i don’t know, but it’s gotta be vastly different than this.
