I had the area expert on 1903A3 look over the rifle and here is the update on the rifle.

First the bad news: The rifle is not an original GI rifle. The action needs to be bedded a little better in the stock. The stock needs to be finished.
The good news: Most parts on the gun is GI parts. The barrel and chamber DO NOT have any pits and are very clean. The mag follower is milled steel, not stamped. The trigger and mag housing are stamped steel. We fired 3 rounds through the rifle, had a little feeding problem, but with a little work on the bedding that would go away.
Under the scope mount is the following: CAL. 30-06: XXTL ORD; Model 1903A3, photo to follow.
Stock is a walnut Bishop "cigar" stock.
This rifle would make a good start for a retro build to "original" or a great hunting build. He said would not take too much to make into the hunting Madel.
the rifle current value is $350 to $375. will consider trading for quality RA rimfire, 1022 or/and 1022 parts.
