We got a cull buck the lease members were targeting for last 2 years.
Only 1 pic of him this year from another member - we had not gotten any pics of him this year.
But he showed up yesterday, and we got him.
I'd guess he weighed between 140-150 pounds, was in good health and had at least 1" fat all over.
Now here where I want suggestions:
We strung him up and skinned him.
That fat stuck to my knife like glue - Wouldn't wipe off with rag, wouldn't wash off with water hose and even covered the edge such that it quit cutting.
Switched to a second knife and it soon covered that one, too.
Had to scrape the fat off the knives using one knife on the other and vise-versa just to finish.
So does anyone have any remedies or techniques for dealing with this sticky fat?
